Overview

Occupational Therapy focuses on understanding each child’s unique sensory processing, restricted and repetitive behaviours, motor skills, regulation, and functional abilities. Our therapists use evidence-based approaches to support these areas, helping children build the skills needed for greater independence, confidence, and engagement in everyday life. The Occupational Therapy (OT) Department provides comprehensive assessment and intervention services for children and their families. Our services include a range of assessments including EASI, Short Sensory Profile and Restricted and Repetitive Behavior- Early Childhood to better understand each child’s strengths and areas of need. Additionally, the OT Department works in Aarambha Pre-Primary School, the Readiness to School Program and Vocational Department to provide ongoing, individualized therapy and support for all attending students. Intervention is tailored to each child and may focus on areas such as sensory integration, fine and gross motor development, self-care skills, emotional regulation, attention, and participation in school-related tasks. Our goal is to empower children and their families by providing practical strategies, therapeutic support, and collaborative care that enables meaningful participation in everyday life.
