Functional Assessment

Functional Assessment is a commonly used approach which is widely applied in educational and clinical settings. It provides the guidance for collecting and analyzing behavioral data that is required in special education planning. It is person centered approach that helps to unfold the purpose and function behind the behavior in individual with autism. Functional Assessment is used to analyze the functioning skills of developmental milestones like motor skills, social and emotional development, language and communication development, Cognitive skills. Objective To understand current functioning level of individual with autism that guides for strategies to support academic and functional academic skills.
