Sijan Shakya

Sijan is a dedicated parent-professional who has been serving at ACNS since 2009. She completed her Diploma in Special Education from Action for Autism, recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India. She has participated in international seminars on Special and Inclusive Education in Jerusalem and completed an Australian Awards Short Course at Queensland University of Technology. Additionally, she undertook a learning visit to Sweden to enhance her understanding of adolescent and adult training. She holds a Master Training of Trainers certification. She has completed her Master’s in Psychology from Padma Kanya Multiple Campus and is a scholar of MPhil in Early Childhood Development at Kathmandu University (KU). She has also undertaken foundational training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). She serves as the course head of Post Graduate Diploma in Inclusive and Special Needs Education (PGDE) specialization in autism spectrum disorder which is affiliated with KU. Additionally, she holds the position of visiting faculty at KU, School of Education.
